Athena Stuebe is a writer and filmmaker from New York City currently pursuing a BFA in Film and Television Production at the University of Southern California. Her work has received recognition at notable festivals, including the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY), the International Indie Film & Screenplay Festival (Best Student Film Nominee), as well as the All American High School Film Festival, where her short film Mad Girls Love Song was a Best Drama Finalist, as well as awarded in the film category at YoungArts.
As a film development intern at Firebrand Media Group, she contributed to the development of medium-budget feature films by providing script analysis, creating pitch decks, and assisting with casting and marketing strategies. Her role as a media creator at LATCH included directing and producing a tech product launch and crafting promotional materials for digital platforms.
In addition to her creative work, she served as a councilmember for the New York City Mayor’s Youth Council to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence, contributing to policy drafting and advocacy efforts. She has also gained on-set experience shadowing acclaimed directors such as Peter Farrelly (Green Book) and Sean Ferguson (High Fidelity).
